The
Hanging Tree
|
|
|
At
the junction of the Pea River and the Choctahatchee River is the largest
oak tree many have seen. It sits alone on about a half acre, but plenty
of others are on it's outskirts. With the original town of Geneva
nearby, many were hauled from the jail and hung from this very
tree. This tree stood here when the Declaration of Independence
was signed.

Enterprise
Museum
|
|
|
| The museum is
located behind the Rawls Hotel along the train tracks. It is the
old train station for the city of Enterprise. Admission is $1.00
and is a great way to spend an hour or two looking at some of the antiques
donated by families and businesses from the Enterprise area.

The
Rawls Hotel
|
|
|
Unusual
occurrences are not uncommon in the historic Rawls hotel. Children’s
laughter has been heard by those working on the third floor, and even
outside the bathroom down in the restaurant when there have been no
children around.
Hayden
Pursley spent three years restoring the historic hotel and had several
stories he often told to include seeing a girl around the age of 12
running down the halls.
