100 year old house
Chipley, FL

This particular house is over 100 years old and sits down a dusty road on the out skirts of Chipley. The owner contacted us about a possible haunting. People who drive by the house describe a forbidden feeling of dread as if someone is standing at the window watching them. Most pass by quickly.

Which of the owner's ancestors could be haunting this house?  Is it Ms. Lily, who over 50 years ago fell off the front steps, breaking her hip, the fall ending her life.  Perhaps it is Mitchell, who used to sit on the front porch strumming his guitar.  Mitchell passed in the house over 30 years ago, a victim of brain cancer.  Or  possibly grandfather George, the house's final resident.

On July 17. 2010 we set out to investigate the reported haunting of this house.

EVP - Whispering

As the clip begins you can here Richard and Banian pulling up in the truck then all gets quiet.  Next you hear a whispering close to the digital audio recorder sitting on the window sill.  I was unable to understand what the whisper is saying.

EVP - Scuffle

At one point the nvestigator ask if the spirit in the house was George.  In response we all heard what appeared some sort of scuffle however in reviewing the audio clip the scuffle appeared to be a loud clap.

EVP - Laughter

One investigator asks a question and in response he gets some ghostly laughter and jib jab.

EVP - A return knock

Tempting the spirit to make a sound they ask it to knock, which it did.  The situation was so startling that the investigator exited the house by jumping out the window.  Goes to show you, Ghost Hunting can be an evacuating experience.
